A novel sliding mode control with MRAS inertia identification for permanent magnet synchronous motors

To enhance the anti-inertia disturbance ability of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) speed system, an adaptive sliding mode control with inertia identification is proposed. A novel (NSMC) based on a new reaching law coupled model reference system (MRAS) realized control, named MRAS+NSMC. In NSMC construct process, integral surface and variable are introduced to avoid differentiation improve dynamics, respectively. And imported successive sigmoid( s) replace traditional sign( suppress chattering phenomena. For problem that performance deteriorated by rotational variation caused load changes, estimated in real time according MRAS theory, value updated controller realize MRAS+NSMC control. Experimental results show proposed has faster response, response reduced from 85 49 ms compared conventional SMC addition, it strong robustness disturbances high tracking accuracy. Compared SMC, accuracy increased 12% 4%. This makes great potential practical significance for PMSM.
